While exploring Rio Rancho’s diverse and very spread-out Public Art installations, I came across this library in Loma Colorado; technically it’s a building, however it is also public art. The 32,000sqft Loma Colorado Public Library, designed by Hidell Architects, is itself a piece of Rio Rancho public art & a dramatic centerpiece in the Loma Colorado community. The building layout is oriented to capture the sweeping hillsides around it, while remaining level in an un-level area.
