Where the Sandia Mountains seem to ooze into the city limits--see map below--stands two neighborhoods, Kachina Hills & Glenwood Hills. Both sit on the eastern edge of the Metro, bordered by the Foothills Open Space further east.
Recently I attended the 46th Annual Albuquerque Parade of Gardens, featuring Glenwood Hills (blue) & Kachina Hills (purple). Ten backyard (& some front & side...) gardens, spread out along the Foothills, from the Kachina Hills to the Glenwood Hills...
